What is mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is an injection technique where special drug mixtures are prepared for various purposes. Personalized cocktails, made by doctors and unique for each patient, contain substances such as hyaluronic acid, vitamins, proteins, amino acids, minerals, and antioxidants. These mixtures are injected into the middle layer of the skin using specialized needle tips to address different needs.
Why do I need mesotherapy?
How does mesotherapy treatment work?
The idea behind mesotherapy treatment is to deliver a mixture of products directly to the site of concern to correct underlying issues. The procedure is performed in sessions spaced at certain intervals depending on factors such as age, the severity of the condition, and the type of treatment applied. The depth of the injections may vary from 1 to 4 millimeters depending on the condition treated. Local anesthetic creams may be used to minimize discomfort. You are expected to visit our clinic a few times, spaced one to two weeks apart.
What are the side effects of mesotherapy?
As with any aesthetic and anti-aging procedure, there is a minimal risk of side effects, which can include:
These side effects occur rarely due to the high level of care provided for each patient, and a thorough medical history is taken to avoid any potential complications. Patients typically experience immediate recovery and can return to their daily routine right away, as the procedure is non-invasive. Rarely, some may require a day off due to pain at the injection sites.
Who is not ideal for mesotherapy treatment?
Not everyone is suitable for mesotherapy treatment. Contraindications include having a body mass index higher than 30 (obese class 3), hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to any component injected, being younger than 18, pregnancy, breastfeeding, taking blood thinners and cardiac drugs, and having diabetes, kidney and liver problems, AIDS, seizures (epilepsy), and lupus disorders.
What to expect on treatment day?
1st Step: Consultation
Before each mesotherapy treatment, patients are asked about and examined regarding their skin. Medical history and daily skincare routines are discussed. Any issues affecting the skin are identified for correction, and a mixture of nutrients is selected to meet the patient's unique needs.
2nd Step: Treatment
A specially tipped needle is used to inject the tailored cocktail of nutrients into the mesoderm (the middle layer of skin) at targeted areas. This special cocktail replenishes the skin to treat the underlying condition and obtain the best possible results.
3rd Step: After Procedure
Post-treatment, you may notice some redness and swelling, which is normal. These minor side effects will subside within minutes, and patients can resume their routine activities immediately. Patients receive aftercare instructions, and a unique treatment plan is scheduled for each individual.
